to improve the health services being provided by KAMSC. Extensions to
the AMSnet program have consolidated the hardware and networks into a
highly integrated managed service operated by Ursys for rural health
service clients.

 A massive tsunami on
December 26th, 2004 caused a terrible disaster across
S.E Asia with enormous loss of life and
destruction. Following this event a regional project was
set up to construct a tsunami warning system to provide
coastal communities with early warning of the threat of
tsunami waves. URSYS provided and operates an innovative
C band network using miniature Spread Spectrum Terminals
with non directional antennas. This network provides
coverage around Australia and the South
Pacific.
